On Tuesday May 29th four Little Sisters and three Residents boarded the bus headed to city hall. Pittsburgh councilwoman Theresa Smith had invited the Sisters to the city council chambers to receive a special proclamation in honor of their 140th anniversary of serving the elderly poor of Pittsburgh. Council President Darlene Harris called forth the entire contingent of Little Sisters representatives while Councilwoman Smith read aloud the proclamation. It was a true honor for all involved!
Many thanks to the city council for recognizing this
milestone for the Little Sisters!
