Night at the Races with the Association
The Association of Jeanne Jugan, a group of lay people committed to the mission of the Little Sisters, resolved to have more interaction with the Residents. The activities department suggested a “Night at the Races” where old footage of horse races is viewed and Residents can place bets prior to each race. The Associates organized a great night. They provided the prizes and food for the festive evening. All in attendance had a great time! The hope is to host more of these in-person activities so that the Residents are more aware of the Association’s role in the Home.
In related news, the Association welcomed three new Associates on May 1. Employee Gerry Ferraro-Hellett, and volunteers Jack Loebig and Gemma Lundberg completed their year long formation and made their promises May 1 at Mass. They join a group of 33 Associates who are active at this Home.
