A benefactor recently dropped off a custom made Little Sisters fire pit, inscribed with St. Jeanne Jugan. At first sight the Activities Department knew it was time for a campfire and sing-a-long. On a recent Thursday evening, as the weather cooled a bit, a camp party occurred in our outdoor courtyard. Volunteers helped Residents roast marshmallows for s’mores while the Ukulele Club performed many of the old camp fire tunes such as Kumbaya. Even though it has been years since our Residents enjoyed the thrill of camping outdoors, the sights, smells, and sounds of the outdoor campfire surely brought back some enjoyable memories for one and all!
