Sisters Margaret Mary and Monique are the dynamic duo known as the “begging sisters.” They go out each day to collect food donations for the elderly Residents of the Little Sisters of the Poor Home in Brighton Heights. Ten Little Sisters care for the Residents, all 65 years old and older, who are low-income. Medicaid only covers 50 percent of their care, so they rely on begging from local stores for food and other consumables.
