Easter Bunny Arrives
While this year’s Easter was unlike any we have had before, the Sisters and staff tried to uplift the Residents’ spirits with small pick me ups during our continued lockdown. To start the Easter weekend each employee received a package of peanut brittle from the Sisters to take home to share with family as a small thank you for working to keep the Residents safe. On Easter Sunday staff used donated iPads to connect Residents in the apartments and nursing home with their relatives through either FaceTime or Skype. A special dessert delivery arrived later in the day for St. Anne’s household from a Resident’s daughter: a beautifully decorated and humorous bunny cake wearing a facemask. The bunny cake was doing his part to contain the spread of the virus, like many of us are also doing these days, by wearing the facemask! The staff and employees enjoyed eating and sharing a laugh about the silly cake!
Of course beyond the sweets and treats, many Residents and all of the Little Sisters took time for reflection on the Easter and thanked God for the many gifts He brings to our Home.
