A Season of Joy
Christmas time at our Home was truly a “Season of Joy.” The Residents were blessed by many gifts from various Parish Giving Trees, Groups, and individuals. Many thanks to all who helped to brighten this time of year for our elderly Residents. There were darling greeting cards created by children and shawls made with love by one Resident’s sister’s sewing group.
Beyond the beautiful expressions of generosity shown to all of us, this time of year was also extra special with the return of the Resident/Employee Christmas Show—our first since before the pandemic! Residents and employees sung many favorite Christmas Carols accompanied by the bell choir. Jeanne Jugan Pavilion Residents put on an amusing Holiday skit as well.
There were also many parties and celebrations leading up to Christmas. Everyone was thankful to have this time to be together. What a joy it was to spend Advent together preparing for the birth of Jesus on Christmas Day!
