To honor St. Jeanne Jugan on her Feast day August 30th, multi-talented Residents, employees, and volunteers of our home debuted “The Sea of Life” play. Performing in front of a full auditorium, the cast chronicled Jeanne’s early life when she lost her father to the sea, later when she refused the hand of marriage from a young sailor waiting for her true calling and further into her adulthood when she started caring for those less fortunate around her. Even Mother Provincial Loraine Marie Clare was on hand to enjoy the show while our Resident Schola provided the musical accompaniment.
After the last round of curtain calls and applause a beautiful homemade cake was cut and shared to celebrate the feast of such an important person in all of our lives—St. Jeanne Jugan. Next stop for the cast and show is surely Broadway!
Ready, Set, Action!
