Each Spring Alumni of Notre Dame are called to serve the community to honor famed university President Father Hesburgh’s birthday. For many years now the local Pittsburgh chapter of the Notre Dame Alumni group has offered a day of service to our Home. This year was no exception. From moving mountains of mulch to planting flowers, their work helped to beautify our surroundings. It was a true family affair with adults and children of all ages helping to beautify the outside of our Home. Now, Residents can walk around our gardens and see nature in full bloom. Thank you Notre Dame Alumni for devoting a Saturday to the Little Sisters of the Poor and please know you are always welcome! Also, many thanks to our Advisory Board Member, Tom Kennedy, who coordinates this effort each year.
