June 6th is a special day for many Americans who remember the actions of the brave soldiers on “D-Day,” but for Little Sisters Residents Tony and Mary Accamando the day has a happier connotation. It was 70 years ago to the day that the two were married. To celebrate the occasion the daily Mass was offered for the couple. Dressed in their very best outfits Tony and Mary joined their three sons in chapel as they renewed the vows they made to one another 70 years ago.
Later in the afternoon the celebration continued as a “wedding reception” took place in the auditorium. The couple was serenaded with classic love songs as their sons shared stories of their life together. Punch, favors, gifts and even a three tier cake that the couple cut together made the day truly special!
Congratulations to a beautiful, loving couple and their entire family!
